My Husky STOLE My Bed Sheets And Refused To Move!

Let us know in the comments below! It is absolutely miserable outside today! We are currently experiencing a massive summer heat wave with a heat index reaching 105° Fahrenheit. Because the humidity is so high, we are keeping the Siberian Huskies inside where it is nice and cool. While you might think putting the dogs in the swimming pool is a great way to cool off, the humidity in the air makes it nearly impossible to get their thick double coats completely dry. If we leave them wet in this muggy weather, they can easily develop painful hot spots, and Kira is especially prone to them. Instead of our usual outdoor adventures or a long walk, we focused on indoor dog care and staying comfortable. I spent some time grooming Kira by blowing out her coat to keep the fur loose against her skin, cleaning up her tear stains with some eye wipes, and flushing out any loose fur. We also received a beautiful mail delivery package from a viewer and we cannot thank you all enough for the incredible cards, drawings, and love you have shared with us during this difficult time of grief. To help Eleanor and Kira beat the summertime boredom, I whipped up a special batch of frozen dog treats using a special mold, pumpkin and peanut butter, cinnamon, and honey. The girls absolutely loved licking their frozen popsicles while hanging out inside the air conditioning. Later in the evening, some friends and family stopped by to splash around in the big pool while the dogs cheered them on from their shady spot. We are wrapping up the day getting ready for some potential severe thunderstorms tomorrow, but for now, we are just happy to be safe, cool, and relaxing on some clean bedsheets!
