1974 IROC Race #1 - Riverside
The 33 year history of the International Race of Champions started on October 27, 1973 at Riverside. Driving Porsche 911s, the series attracted 12 of the greatest drivers in the world in 1973. The legends included Mark Donohue, Peter Revson, David Pearson, Denny Hulme, Bobby Unser, A.J. Foyt, Bobby Allison, Richard Petty, Gordon Johncock, Roger McCluskey, Emerson Fittipaldi, and George Follmer. Originally, Jackie Stewart was supposed to compete in IROC too. But when he retired from racing after winning the 1973 Formula One championship, A.J. Foyt was a late replacement, he had already turned down the offer originally. This is sort of a weird broadcast. The audio went out at the start of the race so ABC played music for the first three laps. This version cuts off the finish when Mark Donohue won. So I guess this upload is better than nothing
