Geotermia bez wody? Polscy naukowcy opracowują rozwiązanie - Geotermia w Polsce i na świecie

In the latest episode of Geothermal Conversations, we'll explore alternative ways to harness the earth's heat. Traditionally, geothermal energy relies on the exploitation of hot water or steam extracted from deep rocks and used for various purposes, from recreation to electricity generation. However, what happens when there's no water in the hot rock layers? Can their energy be harnessed in other ways? We'll seek answers to these questions in unconventional geothermal systems. One project, led by scientists from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, is developing a technology for enhanced geothermal systems that use carbon dioxide as the working medium instead of water. This idea could not only enable energy production but also guarantee environmental benefits. How? Implementing these solutions, however, is not easy. It requires costly research and the construction of specialized infrastructure. Polish scientists are optimistic about the country's geothermal potential. The results of their research indicate many promising areas for the use of geothermal energy, which could be an important step towards sustainable energy development. We invite you to watch!
