Les Tarahumaras du Chihuahua | Mexique
Ganoko, the Ogre of the Raramuri: the Tarahumaras are a proud and free people who took refuge in small inaccessible villages in the Sierra Madre. In the "Barranca del Cobre", the Ogre of the Legend recounts daily life in these isolated hamlets, the excessive deforestation, the contempt for the mixed race and the whites, the omnipresence of the Catholic religion which accommodates all these pagan rites and all these drinking scenes which punctuate Holy Week with its Pharisees painted or smeared with white clay. Director: Javier PEREZ SOLANO & Alain BORRILLON
