Walking around Yeonpung Market, you can still find fading shop signs, small local stores, and traces of everyday life from another time. Under the low rooftops, swallows still return each spring, and the atmosphere of the old village still remains. Unlike rapidly changing cities nearby, this place feels as if time continues to move slowly here. Someday, it would be wonderful if these old alleyways could become a warm and lively neighborhood once again, much like Yeonnam-dong or Mangwon-dong in Seoul.
