Colouring Tutorial: Colouring Gemstones Two Ways.

An easy video tutorial on how to colour two different types of translucent gem stones: the cut, multi faceted type (think diamonds) and the smooth, rounded variety. Both of these types of gemstones appear in many colouring books and one of my biggest requests to date is for a video demonstrating how to colour them. I've chosen these techniques as I find them the easiest and most fun to get good results. I hope you enjoy following along and start experimenting with your own colour combinations. I use Faber Castell Polychromos pencils in this video but these techniques will work just as well for any brand of artist pencil or good quality student grade pencil. Even good quality childrens pencils such as Crayola will work just fine.
