PORTSIDE - Cape Town's tallest building [construction]
The Portside Development in the centre of Cape Town is the city's first tall building development in over 20 years...and it is set to be its tallest at 32 floors high. When complete it will provide over 52,000 square metres of office space and hold over 3,000 people. According to its architects DHK, it is also going to be the first truly green building of this size in Africa. Portside utilizes green design to ensure reduction of energy, water consumption, waste production and negative carbon emissions plus its' use of a significantly lower cement mix, whilst retaining the strength in its concrete adds to this environmental sustainability. ======================================= www.Concrete.TV Facebook: / concre. .
