Stance Matters
There is so much that goes into shooting at speed. The problem with shooting slow is it covers up your flaws. Once you start pushing the speed the real issues start to show up. Ryan was an interesting student for me because he was already a pretty good shooter with good fundamentals. I noticed some inconsistency in his grip and made a slight adjustment in his hand placement as well as changing his stance. The groups were exactly what I was looking for. In this case the gun wasn’t the issue but the extra movement he was having from his body. The important thing to remember when analyzing your shooting is always start from the foundation and then work your way up to the gun.
