Today on Carl is cooking... I'm testing the best desserts in Montreal to find the real sweet gems. Which one will be the best? I'm trying trompe-l'œil desserts at Mon Secret Gourmand (pretty good). I'm tasting a Basque cake at San Sebastian Café (a huge favorite). I'm trying other trompe-l'œil desserts at Duc de Lorraine... a real gem. Next, I'm trying a tiramisu made fresh right in front of you at Siamo Noi (Italian restaurant), a truly incredible discovery. I'm trying donuts at Beigne Habitude (are they worth the hype?). And finally, I'm trying brioches at Daddy Roll (super indulgent). I'm starting with fluffy pancakes at Fuwa Fuwa (ultra-soft). Everything is delicious… but which dessert takes the top spot? 👀 I'm going to document my state of mind as I try all these desserts. You'll spend a day on my plate.
