Enfant éternel de la famille : le mécanisme de l’infantilisation expliquée
Questionnaire! Do you suffer from trauma? Click here: https://sandralacombe.com/liensrapides Being an adult… but still feeling like a child to your parents. In some toxic, emotionally immature, or narcissistic families, you never truly grow up in the eyes of your parents. You remain “the one who knows nothing,” “the one who never succeeds,” dependent, unbelievable, not quite an adult. In this video, we'll see how some parents use infantilization as a tool of domination, and why this is NOT a lack of maturity on your part, but a direct consequence of the role you were kept in for years. In the video, we discuss, among other things: The parent who diminishes your knowledge and makes you believe you never know anything. The child (and the adult) who starts speaking “like a baby” because it soothes the parent and reduces conflict. Control of money as one of the most toxic forms of infantilization. The parent who sabotages your career or projects while appearing to “encourage” you. What this feeds within the parent: a need for superiority, fear of being alone, a fragile ego. And above all: how the nervous system encodes this childlike role, and why it can be unlearned by working with the body, not just the mind. I am Sandra Lacombe, a coach specializing in nervous system regulation and childhood trauma. For over 10 years, I have been working with people who grew up in toxic, immature, or abusive families, and who now live with: hypervigilance, intense emotional reactions, relationship difficulties, a feeling of never being “enough.” On this channel, we discuss: childhood trauma and toxic parents, complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD), the nervous system, freezing, dissociation, shame, guilt, hyperadaptation, and how to rebuild a more stable life, one step at a time.
