I even started reading fanfiction about them because otherwise i don't know how to survive until october tbh. I always thought THAT moment was the most important and magical one in delena's story. I mean, Damon was a lonely, sad and bad vampire. He laid in the middle of nowhere ready to cut up innocent people just to ease his pain, but then he meets this girl and he is in fact able to read into her soul as probably no one had ever done before. He meets human Elena who has not yet experienced the pain of loss, she's still full of life and light. She is like his first glimmer of light after centuries of darkness. This is the magic of delena.
