Sermon June 7, 2026: Praying With Paul - Power

Sermon: Praying With Paul - How to Pray With Power: Colossians 1:9-14 We need the knowledge of God's will to shape our character. Every believer knows the experience: you sit down to pray, bow your head, open your heart and then...nothing. Your mind wanders, thoughts scatter, your words feel thin, your prayers feel small, even though they are intentional. You want your prayers to matter, to reach heaven, although your words don't seem right. Paul teaches how to pray with power. Paul was in prison when he heard the Colossians became believers and desired their prayers to be meaningful. A weak prayer tries to pull God into our plans. A powerful prayer is a desire that we are pulled into God's plan and to change us...not to change our circumstances, but so we can deal with our circumstances. We need the knowledge of God's will to shape our character.
