Perjalanan ke Sinaka, Pulau Terpencil di Mentawai #EkspedisiSinaka -2

Desa ini berada di bagian paling ujung Pulau Pagai Selatan, sekaligus daerah paling selatan Kepulauan Mentawai. Desa Sinaka punya 14 dusun, salah satunya Dusun Sinaka. Dusun itu berada di satu pulau kecil bernama Simatapi, namun warga menyebutnya sebagai Pulau Sinaka. Saya bersama beberapa jurnalis dan anggota YCM Mentawai pada 15 juni 2023 berkunjung kesana, untuk melihat langsung kondisi daerah dan kehidupan masyarakat dusun itu. Kabarnya berbagai akses dan fasilitas di daerah terpencil itu sangat sulit. Sama dengan kondisi beberapa daerah lain di Mentawai. Menuju Sinaka, kita harus melintasi laut, menyisir perairan bagian timur Pulai Pagai Selatan. Melewati sejumlah daerah seperti Pulau Labatjau, Bubuget, Boriai, Pulau Simasinggitgit, dan Bagatsagai. Dusun Sinaka dulunya cukup ramai, namun pasca tsunami Mentawai dan dinyatakan masuk zona merah, sebagian besar warganya pindah ke perkampungan baru di Korit Buah. Masyarakat Dusun Sinaka umumnya bermatapencarian sebagai nelayan dan berladang. Selain menjadikan laut sebagai sumber mata pencarian, warga juga menanam pisang, serta mengambil hasil hutan untuk dibuat kerajinan. Seperti yang dilakukan Martin Saogo, lelaki tua yang pengrajin yang tersisa. Rumah warga Dusun Sinaka sudah dialiri listrik, namun sangat terbatas karena hanya tenaga surya yang dipasang secara mandiri. Selain itu mereka juga kesulitan akses transportasi. Warga dusun ini juga terkendala sulitnya akses pendidikan. Disini tak ada sekolah, sehingga anak-anak harus pergi ke dusun lain dengan mendayung perahu. Tak ada sarana komunikasi apalagi internet, dan sejumlah anak-anak dinyatakan stunting. ........................................................................................................ The houses of the residents of Sinaka Hamlet have electricity, but it is very limited because only solar power is installed independently. In addition, they also have difficulty accessing transportation. Residents of this hamlet are also constrained by the difficulty of access to education. There is no school here, so the children have to go to another hamlet by rowing a boat. There are no means of communication, let alone the internet, and a number of children are declared stunted.
