In this performance, Lucinda Williams debuted five new songs that would not be released commercially until four years later on her “Car Wheels on a Gravel Road” album. It was a very informal affair. As Lucinda admits, "We just had one rehearsal of these songs." This may have been the first time they were ever played in public. But the audience loved the new material. This Ronnie Mack’s Barn Dance show was a special “CD release party” for Duane Jarvis, who played guitar in Lucinda's band and co-wrote “Still I Long for Your Kiss.” The original camcorder recording had mono sound. But with A.I. programming it was possible to isolate the vocals and instruments in order to remix the songs in stereo.
