Opened in May 2023, Pipeline is the first coaster of its kind in the world and introduces a revolutionary ride experience with surfboard-shaped trains and dynamic stand-up seats that bounce and flex throughout the layout. Riders launch to 60 mph into a 110-foot overbanked turn before twisting through the signature “wave curl” inversion and a sequence of airtime hills, helices, and powerful banks that mimic the fluid motion of carving surf waves. Manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard, Pipeline The Surf Coaster is not your typical stand-up coaster. The Pipeline Surf Coaster's unique ride system allows riders to shift vertically in their restraints, simulating the rising and dropping of a surfboard riding the swell. The surf-themed coaster track features a teal and white color scheme and evokes the beach vibes of California and Australia surf culture. With a total track length of 2,950 feet and a duration of nearly two minutes, the coaster blends speed, power, and smooth movement for a surfing-inspired thrill. Pipeline is located in the Sea of Power. This coaster is the seventh in SeaWorld Orlando’s rapidly growing coaster collection, joining Kraken, Manta, Mako, Ice Breaker, Super Grover's Box Car Derby and the brand-new Penguin Trek. SeaWorld Orlando has evolved into a top destination for thrill seekers and animal lovers alike. With a perfect blend of coaster innovation and marine life encounters, Pipeline continues the park’s transformation into the Coaster Capital of Orlando. Opened in 1973 just two years after Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, SeaWorld quickly became a cornerstone of the Central Florida theme park landscape. Originally focused on animal exhibits and shows, the park evolved under Busch Entertainment and later United Parks & Resorts into a more ride-based experience, with coasters from B&M and Premier Rides driving a new era of thrills.
