SHUNTING HERITAGE TRAINS from The Bendigo Mainline to The VGR at Castlemaine

Today Schony747 is at Castlemaine Railway Station which is somewhat unique as platforms one and tow are for mainline Bendigo trains and platform 3 is for The Victorian Gold Fields Railway (VGR) - a heritage tourist railway that uses the former Maldon branchline that was closed in the 1970s. The Victorian Goldfields Railway also has mainline access at Castlemaine which allows heritage trains to access and use the VGR when required. This video shows the shunting movements to and from the mainline as various operators make use the of the VGR facilities. The VGR also has it's own rostered tourist trains which is not featured today as the purpose of this video is to dhow the mainline shunting movements and related activities.
