Male is located 28 kms south of the island and it takes only 30 mins with speedboat to reach the capital of the Maldives. The island is the most popular surfing destination in the country with famous surf breaks like Cokes, Chickens and some others like Sultans & Jails nearby. There are over 30 Hotels/Guesthouses on the island, water sports, excellent snorkeling and the friendly locals will welcome you with open arms.
