In high school, he was interested in the development of sports and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, headed the "Ukrainian Sports Circle" at the high school, later became an active member of the "Sokil-Batko" society, participated in many sports competitions, wrote in the press about exotic sports to make them popular. He wrote the book "A Textbook of Swedish Movement". At the age of 22, Petro was already a well-known athlete in Galicia, a student of the founder of Ukrainian sports, Ivan Bobersky. In 1911, together with Ivan Chmola, he founded the first secret club "Plast", which marked the beginning of the development of the Plast movement in Ukraine. He edited the magazine "Plastovy Tabir", wrote 15 books for Plasts, the first textbook "Plastovy igri i zabavy". *** In 1931, he went to Kharkiv under a contract with a group of Polish engineers at the invitation of the Soviet government, where he worked for five years as a senior researcher at the Research Institute of Applied Physics and Chemistry and the Dairy Industry. He wrote a textbook on inorganic chemistry and an encyclopedic dictionary of chemical terminology, and became the author of 36 inventions in the field of chemistry.
