We could stop the murder of thousands of women and girls every year | Ren Aldridge | TEDxTUWien

Ren puts the fight against femicide firmly on the agenda for the 2022 TEDxTUWien event ‘Turning Points’ and shares empowering ideas of ways that we can all contribute to ending femicide. Ren Aldridge is an artist, writer and the front woman of feminist punk band Petrol Girls. Her creative work weaves in and out of her political activism, and is committed to challenging the ideas and norms that uphold patriarchy and capitalism. She is an active member of feminist group F*Streik Graz where she focuses on co-organising demonstrations that mark each femicide that takes place in Austria. She holds a Masters of Research in Creative Practice from Glasgow School of Art, and a Bachelors in Fine Art from Goldsmiths UoL. She is also a terrible waitress and passionate dog mom.
