Lower Thredbo Valley Trail | Bullocks Flat to Gaden Trout

This is a 3rd part of my Thredbo Valley Trail series, which will take you through the Lower Thredbo Valley Trail extension finalised by Dirt Art in October 2019. Lower Thredbo Valley trail extends Thredbo Valley Track for further 18.4km and it begins at Bullocks Flat at 16.7km. It ends at Gaden Trout Hatchery at 35.1km where you can finish your ride or continue further towards Lake Jindabyne and join Hatchery Bay Trail towards the Jindabyne town centre. Thredbo Valley Track is an impressive shared-use trail which will take you down the picturesque Thredbo Valley and includes five amazing suspension bridges. Meandering along the banks of the famous Thredbo River, you can enjoy open grasslands, thick eucalyptus forests and green woodlands. New Lower Thredbo Valley Trail extension showed in the video is rated blue and it is more technical than the middle part of the trail (also rated blue), however I don't think it would be any problem for intermediate mountain biker. The only major diffuculty that I see is the large amount of climbing and uphill sections that will really challenge your fitness skills. I wouldn't trust the profile numbers shown on the Trailforks for this trail, I would say the trail has approximately 60% downhill sections and 40% uphill.
