PE #114: Correction of Improved Dynamic Model of Voltage-Mode-Controlled DC-DC Converters
This video is a correction of previous video PE #72 in which it was wrongly stated that a conventional pulse width modulator of a dc-dc converter included a sampling effect that generates an additional phase shift in the converter's frequency response. The video demonstrates by a corrected simulation that there is no additional phase shift due the modulator's operation. The video also reviews the literature on this topic that proves that there is no such a phase shift. This video also serves as a correction of the same wrong statement made on Chapter 9 of my book: Modelling, Control, and Simulation of DC-DC Converters.
