One of China’s Longmen Grotto caves opens to public

Central China's Henan Province is home to the ancient Longmen Grottoes, a World Cultural Heritage Site. For over half a century, people could only view the grottoes from a distance, but now they have the chance to get closer, with the stone carvings in one cave, the Kanjing Temple, now open to the public. The set of 29 life-sized Buddhist sculptures is the most complete and best preserved in China, dating back at least one thousand years.
