It is very very important issue and hidden problem of less efficacy of insecticides, fungicides and weedicides. For spray the pH of water must be neutral. The neutral value of pH is 7. The best results of pesticides spray, we can get with solution of water with neutral pH that is 7 Now the question of Mr. Asad is that, What should we do if pH is high. It is good question but incomplete. It is better to define the word "High". If the pH of water is higher than 7. It is alkaline. It can be reduced by adding some acidic material. Now the question is that the what material and how much material can be added. Again it can be decided on the basis of pH of water we have. I mean what is pH of water 7.1, 7.5, 7.9, 8.1, 8.5, ........... Initially you will have to do some work to calculate the acidic material to be added in your specific water of pH:? Procedure : Take on litre of water Note its pH with the help of pH meter Add one drop of acidic material and mix Check the pH If it is still high, add more drop, mix and check pH. Continue the process until the pH is 7. Use water with this ratio for spray for better efficacy of pesticides spray. My experience is that 0.5 ml Sulfuric Acid is sufficient to reduce pH of one litre of water from 7.5 to 7.
