Dialogue: Falconer and Author Helen Macdonald
Helen Macdonald, author of "H is for Hawk," talks with Marcia Franklin at the 2017 Sun Valley Writers' Conference. The two discuss the themes of her book, which chronicled Macdonald's struggle with grief after the death of her father, and her journey to recovery by training a goshawk. They also talk about a PBS/BBC documentary featuring Macdonald called "H is for Hawk: A New Chapter," in which she trains another goshawk. The documentary was broadcast on the PBS "Nature" series on November 1, 2017.
