DriveyourdrE39mz presents you a full length Southbound run of the newly completed Highway 1 Regent's Slide Removal Project. Beginning in Downtown Monterey and ending in San Simeon, CA (94 miles). The car being driven is a 2024 Nissan Z Performance M/T. Video recorded on an mid January weekend morning. For 3 years, Highway 1 between Big Sur and Cambria was impacted with multiple closures, the last of which being caused by the Regent's Slide. The slide originated approximately 450 feet above the roadway and resulted in the closure of a 6.8-mile segment of Highway 1. Repairs at Regent's Slide were completed on January 14, 2026.
