After a hive-minded race of animals conquer the Earth, they relocate the planet's human population -- all except for a little girl named Taya, who's managed to hide from the animals. When Taya meets a fugitive Lion called Alex, there's mutual distrust. However, Alex is not like his comrades; he craves friendship and fun. As their distrust fades, the pair set out together to find Taya's mother, but, unbeknown to them, Jafar -- enemies of the animals -- are en route.
