Beginning 6 February 2018, the route of this train was changed from the Grand Chord (via Gaya) to the mainline (via Patna) at the request of Godda MP Nishikant Dubey. Therefore, it now travels 1,531 km rather than 1,451 km. Due to this, it takes more time than the Premium Rajdhanis and Sealdah Duronto Express from Kolkata to Delhi. Therefore, its average speed went down from 84 km/h to 70 km/h. We will travel between New Delhi and Asansol Jn station today. On our journey, we are scheduled to depart New Delhi @ 1235 Hrs and arrive at Asansol Jn the next morning by 0726 Hrs. This train runs via Kanpur Central, DDU, Patna Jn and Jasidih Jn stations.
