This time, we'll introduce a new walking course starting from MRT Bang Pho Station, designed with the desire to "enjoy a boat trip more easily!" in Bangkok. MRT Blue Line's Bang Pho Station is actually an incredibly convenient station directly connected to the Chao Phraya River pier! From here, you can reach the area with the three major temples in just about 30 minutes by boat. It's not too long, not too short, just the right length for a boat trip. However, before boarding the boat, we highly recommend visiting the area in front of MRT Bang Pho Station. First, we'll try the "Roasted Duck Gapao," rumored to be so delicious that it's worth traveling all the way from Sukhumvit for! How was the taste...? And spreading out around the station is the Chinatown, where everyday life thrives without being commercialized for tourism. Strolling through the quaint Bang Pho Market, visiting the Chinese temples scattered throughout the streets, and stopping by beautiful Vietnamese temples—the scenery is not flashy, but it's captivating. Bang Pho, also known as a town of woodworkers, boasts charming streets and atmospheric back alleys that are a must-see. After enjoying a leisurely stroll through the town, it's time for a boat trip on the Chao Phraya River! This time, we'll board the Chao Phraya Express Boat from the temple (Wat Soi Thong) pier and head to the Rachini pier in the old city (nearest MRT Sanam Chai station) in about 30 minutes for just 21 baht. Along the way, we'll admire landmarks such as the Parliament Building and Rama VIII Bridge, and hear interesting stories, including an encounter with Maruyama Gonzalez, a treasure hunter on the Chao Phraya River.
