We Had to Escape at 4:30AM! Scotland Van Life Disaster

This week in Scotland we leave our peaceful parkup in Girvan and head for the charming town of Wigtown, Scotland’s National Book Town. Along the way we visit the historic Martyrs’ Stake and grave before stopping for lunch and continuing our journey along the stunning Raiders Road Forest Drive. But the day takes an unexpected turn when traffic comes to a standstill after a motorhome slips off the road and needs rescuing by a logging truck! After finally getting through, we settle in for the night at Otter Pool, only to discover we’re sharing it with thousands of hungry midgies. What should have been a peaceful wild camping spot quickly becomes one of our most uncomfortable nights yet.
