We stayed at Hotel Sakurai in Kusatsu Onsen, Gunma Prefecture. This hot spring inn is located about a 5-minute walk from Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal and a 9-minute walk from the Yubatake. Popular features include a large public bath and open-air bath that draws from three different hot springs, a luxurious Japanese, Western, and Chinese buffet, a kaiseki meal featuring locally sourced ingredients, and staff performing hot spring massages and taiko drum shows.
