An upgrade to the 2024 edition (especially Money), here on Youtube first for you all to enjoy. A Saturday show released again on Saturday :) Although consisting of technical faults throughout, the band still shine here, especially Rick with his playing. I hope you all enjoy this project, and if you have any requests (years, eras, specific dates, etc.) let me know and I will try to upload it! Thanks to all those involved! Stay tuned ;) O. Lineage: Uncertain Recorder to Maxell UD C120 Cassette to Nakamichi 660 ZX playback to Tascam DA-3000 Recorder to UDMA 7 Compact Flash Media. This lineage is for the main cassette, but not for the encore. The encore is not from the master tape. Here is why: The encore appears at the end of a Maxell UDXL C-90 Floyd cassette - dubbed at the end of a 1973 Floyd concert (which is not a master tape). After much consultation and searching Mike has determined that the encore cassette provided is a 1st gen dub of the now lost master. This was a decision that was made long ago when tape was more expensive, and since the encore stood alone on a single 120 tape the dub was made to free up the orphan cassette. Here are the artifacts of that decision: The tape speed is VERY different from the main master. Drastically so. The record level is very different, with the encore being not as loud as the main tape. The encore is muffled and with more hiss. It noticeably sounds one generation down, and probably had Dolby applied to the playback of the source tape. Also, there is print-through which is not Pink Floyd. Presumably the destination tape was not blank where the encore was dubbed. I asked Mike if there is any chance that the master of the encore still lives on another master tape from 1977. After much searching he has concluded that this does not appear to be the case. More bad news. The cassette of the main show suffers from 2 VERY ugly splices in the tape. So ugly that it stopped the tape playback due to adhesive between layers of tape. C-120 length cassettes were possible because the tape used is thinner than for a C-90 of the time. 120s are notoriously prone to breakage. I extracted the broken ends and cleaned up the splices as best I could. Some of the previous splice tape was on the FACE of the tape, not the mylar backing. I hasten to add that Mike was not the one who made these splices! The damage can be heard during Pigs and Welcome To The Machine. It's ugly but brief. The good news is I have a pitch control on my playback deck, and so the pitch throughout should be close to natural. I am sure others will have opinions on this. Thanks again to Mike Cariola for recording the show and being generous in lending the master tape! Source 2 (Pigs and WTTM Patches) - 1st Gen Source Lineage: 1st[CASS] to DAT[0] to CDR[1] (130 minutes) Recorder 2 - California Stockyard (Sirene-136) Notes: Ello there, and welcome to one of my latest projects I have worked on for you all to enjoy: "Slaughterhouse-Seven or The Anaheim Abattoir", based on the infamous bootleg title from the 1st Anaheim night: "California Stockyard". R1 is the Primary source. It has been EQ'd with gain changes from -2.8dB to -0.6dB, and panned 70% right where matrixed (except Money, at 90% right). R2 is speed corrected to R1 with values between +23 and -19 cents. It has been EQ'd with gain changes from -2.7dB to -0.7db, and panned 70% left where matrixed (except Money, at 66% left). For the Money encore, R1 is panned 90% right and R2 45% left where matrixed. Included in this torrent are some bonus files as well, with what I could gather myself, as well as a lovely cover to compliment this project by WorldmanOne. Finally, I would like to say a big thanks to Swirling Panpot and Mike Cariola for this opportunity. Ello_Guvner 2025-09-27 Lossless version here: http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/s...
