When she started working as an actress, Duda Santos (@duda) had a fear that many Black women know well: finding a foundation that truly matched her skin tone. "When I was younger, it took me a long time to find a foundation that was my color," she recalls. The first one that worked was from Negra Rosa, bought at a store near the community where she lived. "It was the only foundation for me and my five cousins," she says, laughing. "It was a matter of accepting myself without braids, seeing myself without braids, building love for my hair. Our hair is now a symbol of beauty, and for a long time it wasn't," she says.
