A fantasy origami paper castle for boys and girls to play with. It's very easy and inexpensive, and can be made as big or small as you like. And the best part is that it's portable—it can be folded down into a small book. Take it on vacation or on the go to entertain the little ones. A craft that children will enjoy making, and even more so for adults, since you can decorate it however you like, painting it or gluing pictures you can download from the internet if you're not a fan of painting. TEMPLATE: www.encasacontigo.com/archivos/manualidades/Castillo_Plantilla_Dibujos.pdf Materials: • Cardstock • Scissors • Gift • Markers or acrylic paint and a paintbrush • Optional: Small buttons or similar and string – hot glue gun or thread and needle. How To: Depending on how tall or small you want it: 1. The large orange one is 43 cm x 43 cm or 17" x 17" 2. The smaller green one is 30 cm x 20 cm or 17" x 8" • Fold in half lengthwise and score the edge • Fold in half widthwise and score the edge • Fold one half to the center crease • Do the same with the other half • Cut open the tops of the two center halves • Cut only the center line on one side • Open the castle • Mark turrets as desired and cut them out • For parapets – see video • Paint the edges of towers, watchtowers, and other items with markers • Paint doors, windows, and brick or stone walls • Paint or copy furniture, etc. from the internet and glue inside. • Reinforce the folds, especially where they fold to close like a book. • Glue two buttons or similar and a chain or string on opposite sides (see video) to close the booklet.
