Hand carving at The Unplugged Woodshop. The Slaight Project
http://www.theunpluggedwoodshop.com/ In November 2016, I was commissioned by Massey Hall to make a hand carved plaque recognizing and commemorating a major renovation planned for this iconic Canadian venue. Local walnut was used and the design was insired by an original hanging inside Massey Hall since1894. Work that began in Toronto, traveled to Cape Breton Island for a summer, and then back again to Toronto, where the carving was completed in my studio, The Unplugged Woodshop. This video documents some of the 300 + hours of hand work that went into the project, I hope you enjoy it. http://www.theunpluggedwoodshop.com/
