Having lived in Tyumen for many years, I'd never been to the village of Yakushi, located 20 km from the city along the Starotobolsky Highway. Getting there turned out to be quite easy. Just take Respubliki Street and turn onto the Starotobolsky Highway. Along the way, I passed several villages: Subbotina, Oshkukova, and Yesaulovo, which I'll cover in future episodes. Yakushi is an ancient village rich in history, events, and famous personalities. The Udacha Ecopark is located near the village. History has it that sheikhs of Bukharan descent from Central Asia preached in these areas and founded this village along with the indigenous population. Video filmed June 14, 2026. Russia, Tyumen.
