People ask me all the time why I don't just sell my New Jersey house. The truth is, the answer isn't nearly as simple as it sounds. In this video, I'm sharing the full story behind my little 820 square-foot cottage, from buying it as a newly divorced mom in 2007, to nearly losing it, to receiving a loan modification that gave me a second chance. Along the way there were financial mistakes, hard lessons, a surprise baby, a move to NYC, a full home renovation during COVID, and nearly three years spent caring for my mom through cancer. This house has been my biggest financial headache, one of my greatest teachers, and the place where my children grew up.
