Today was my son’s special day, and I wanted to surprise him with a delicious birthday dinner. I spent the day outside smoking a rack of baby back spare ribs on the grill, making one of his favorite meals to celebrate. The ribs came out tender, juicy, and full of smoky flavor. We were excited to spend time together and enjoy a great family meal. When my son arrived, he surprised us by coming home feeling sad and worried about a friend who was in the hospital. It was an emotional day, and after stopping by, he went straight to bed. Life can bring unexpected moments, and family is there through both the happy celebrations and the difficult times.
