Huawei P30 vs P40 - Mini Review with Video and Photograph Comparison

Hi folks, I have owned the Huawei P30 for about 8 months and have been very happy with it. I started to use it to record YouTube videos and even attempted a mirrorless camera, but found that too much of a faff and it wasn't the easiest thing to use. I realised that I got good quality out of it, but the front camera on the P30 only did 1080p 30fps which wasn't amazing quality. The rear camera was capable of 4k 30fps, but that too was a faff to use in an easy way. The P40 came to my attention and with a 4k front (selfie) camera I was hooked. Does 60fps too...sweet. The real drawback with the P40 series is the lack of Google Services out of the box. I didn't realise how many apps I used that actually needed the Google Services, so please do your reseach as to what you use, what you can get from the Huawei App Gallery and what APKs you can get via Petal Search etc. There are also online guides on how to install said services, but I was unable to sort that last weekend when I got the phone...I will persevere though. Both phones are great and have their plus and minus points. They are very similar devices as well in terms of physically and hardware...apart from the cameras. If you want the Google Services out of the box and have a decent camera, go for the P30 If you are capable of installing the Google Services or don't care but want an awesome camera, then go for the P40 Let me know which is your favourite phone, personally I like them both, but the camera is going to sway me for sure...now where are those guides on installing Google Services again! thanks, Wayne
