An impact wrench produces sharp impacts (cordless impact wrenches are much more powerful, but they tend to pull, while we need sharp thrusts). As a result, all three spark plugs came loose using an impact wrench, although they would likely have broken by hand. A powerful compressor (mine is a two-piston one) is required for proper operation of such an impact wrench.
