This means that any action or behavior that is not righteous is considered sin. The people swept away by the Flood, Cain, Sodom and Gomorrah, and the wood -gatherer (Numbers 15) all suffered the death penalty for violating God’s righteous standard of righteousness vs unrighteousness; despite the fact that they were not under a covenant. Therefore, the absence of a formally ratified covenant never meant that God’s righteous standard of righteousness vs unrighteousness became inoperative. My argument has consistently been that Exodus 24 initiated this process of establishing a covenant, but the covenant was annulled when Moses shattered the tablets (Ex. 32:19) before the long standardized formal process recognizable in a sequence of ritualized steps reached its completion. Deuteronomy then presents the formal established covenant when Israel entered the Promised land (Deut. 27:4-26; 29:12; Josh. 8:30-35). Therefore, the examples of the Flood, Cain, Sodom and Gomorrah, and the wood-gatherer, prove that Yahweh’s righteous standard law of living for His people remained operative during these periods, despite the absence of a covenant. This was never disputed. In His Service, Angel Arellano, Jr ‪@SDAQandA‬ ‪@AdventDefenseLeague‬ ‪@CanonAndCreed‬ ‪@AcademyApologia‬
