The event was attended by KOPA President Kim Han-jun and Vice President Peng Hyun-jun, Nikon Imaging Korea CEO Jeong Hae-hwan, and Karina of aespa, with comedian Yoo Jae-pil serving as the host. Meanwhile, the '2026 KOPA & NIKON Press Photo Awards' is an awards ceremony featuring all photographs taken on-site by members of the Korea Online Press Photographers Association over the past year as nominees. Awards were presented across the Photogenic, Sports, and Entertainment categories, and winners were selected through a vote by all members of COPA member companies, recognizing photojournalists who have worked diligently in each field over the past year. For the Journalist of the Year award, Sports Today's Reporter Peng Hyun-jun won Best in the Sports category, My Daily's Reporter Han Hyuk-seung won Excellence in the Sports category, TV Daily's Reporter Ahn Seong-hoo won Best in the Entertainment category, and Xports News' Reporter Kim Han-jun won Excellence in the Entertainment category. In the Photogenic category, JTBC Enternews' Reporter Park Se-wan, who photographed aespa's Karina, received the award.
