Use Shotcut to create fantastic Motion-blur pan transitions (Whip-pan transitions). The effect (a common effect used in video editing) gives the impression of the camera whizzing quickly to the left or right to reveal the next shot. I've developed 2 methods. Method 1 creates a fast transition; Method 2 gives a wider pan effect. This is PART 1 of my two-part series, in which I explain in easy steps how to create the Method 1 transition. Method 1 uses SHOTCUT (a free, open source video editor) alone; Method 2 uses Shotcut and the free graphics editor GIMP.
