Aree protette del Ticino e Lago Maggiore: salvaguardia del patrimonio naturalistico

Starting from Villa Picchetta in Cameri, home to the Ticino and Lake Maggiore Protected Areas Management Agency, we set off on a bike path to discover a remarkable nature trail, following the area's beautiful waterways. We visit an ancient mill dating back to 1484, still functioning, with an adjoining museum, and then continue our visit to the ancient Civic Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum of Oleggio. We then cycle towards the Lagoni di Mercurago Natural Park, an area of woods and small bodies of water, known as "lagoni." Starting from Croce, a hamlet in the municipality of Fontaneto d'Agogna, we visit another area protected by the Park: the Baragge Oriented Nature Reserve, a simple yet fascinating landscape.
