Você já se imaginou GOVERNADOR de MINAS GERAIS?

Have you ever thought about being governor of Minas Gerais? That's the question. Have you ever thought about governing a Brazilian state with 586,514 square kilometers and 21.4 million inhabitants? Do you know how many people are thinking about it right now? About a dozen. I'm one of them. One of the conditions for running for election is party affiliation. No one can be a candidate in Brazil without being affiliated with a political party. I, for example, am affiliated with the Brazilian Democratic Movement. Among the 21.4 million inhabitants of Minas Gerais, 16,221,378 make up the electorate, that is, the people eligible to vote for governor on October 4th. There are 86 days left. Of this universe, approximately 1.6 million people are affiliated with political parties. This represents about 9.9% of the electorate of Minas Gerais. Among these affiliated individuals, about a dozen have put their names forward to run for Governor of Minas Gerais. I am one of them. Each pre-candidacy still needs to be approved at a party convention to become an official candidacy. Conventions can take place between July 20th and August 5th, a period that begins in 10 days. Considering twelve names, only 0.000074% of the electorate has put their name forward for this race. This corresponds to one person for every 1.35 million voters. In relation to the approximate universe of affiliated individuals, it's 0.00075%: one person for every 133,000 members. There's still time for more people to think about it. And you? Have you ever thought about being governor of Minas Gerais? Believe me: running for election is the least of the challenges. After every election, a government begins. That's where the real responsibility lies, because governing Minas Gerais is quite a challenge. Think about it. Free voting only exists in a democracy. In dictatorships, there may be voting, but there is no real choice. In a democracy, exercising power is an enormous responsibility. Choosing who will exercise it is too. This decision is as important as governing Minas Gerais. Share this video. There are still many people who don't know this. #MinasGerais #MG #GabrielAzevedo #Elections2026 #politics #GovernmentOfMinas #GovernorOfMinasGerais
