The Deputy Regent of Sidenreng Rappang, Nurkanaah, attended the graduation ceremony of the Wahdah Islamiyah At-Tauhid Islamic Boarding School Foundation at the Saromase Hall of the Sidrap Regional Apparatus Organization Complex on Saturday (June 6, 2026). The event was attended by the Chairman of the Wahdah Islamiyah At-Tauhid Sidrap Islamic Boarding School Foundation, Syahrul Mubarak; representatives from the Sidrap Early Childhood Education Center (PAUD), the Head of the Social Welfare Division, H. Syamsudin; parents of students; and other invited guests. In her remarks, Nurkanaah expressed her appreciation for the Wahdah Islamiyah At-Tauhid Islamic Boarding School Foundation and the Wahdah Islamiyah Sidrap Regency Regional Leadership Council (DPD), which she considered to have contributed to the development of education through the provision of formal schools that integrate general and religious education. "We express our gratitude and appreciation to the Wahdah Islamiyah Foundation and the leadership of the Sidrap Regency Regional Leadership Council (DPD) for opening a formal school for our children. This is an important part of creating a Quranic generation and supporting Sidrap Regency's vision as a center for Quran memorization," said Nurkanaah. She also emphasized the importance of paying attention to student health, especially in educational institutions that implement a boarding school system. "In addition to religious education, the health of our children must also be a priority. We want them to grow into a golden generation that is healthy, intelligent, and virtuous. Armed with the Quran, our children can pursue various professions and achieve success in the future, including becoming prosecutors, police officers, or other professions that continue to use the Quran as a guide for their lives," she added. According to Nurkanaah, the future of the nation lies in the hands of today's young generation. Therefore, the support of all parties, especially parents, is essential in supporting their children's education. On this occasion, she also expressed her appreciation to the parents who have given their full attention and support to their children's education. Meanwhile, Syahrul Mubarak, Head of the Wahdah Islamiyah At-Tauhid Sidrap Islamic Boarding School Foundation, explained that the event included not only the tahfiz graduation ceremony and the Quran Recitation Competition (MTQ), but also the graduation ceremonies for students at various levels of education. "In addition to the tahfidz graduation ceremony and MTQ, we also held graduation ceremonies for students at the Kindergarten/Kindergarten level, Islamic Elementary School (SD-IT), and the male and female MTQ," he explained. The ceremony was solemn and emotional. Parents and families of the students were enthusiastic to witness the achievements of their sons and daughters who had completed their education and memorized the Quran.
