𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗧𝗜 𝗡𝗞𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗞𝗔 In Gethsemane, Jesus prayed to God that if it would please Him, then God should not allow that Jesus should go through the imminent suffering (Luke 22:42). This feeling of facing imminent danger is what the Composer was going through in self-isolation, upon being diagnosed Covid-19 positive. Having just lost a brother to Covid a week earlier, the Composer is afraid, in pain, very worried. He remembers this passage in the Bible when Jesus Himself was equally worried and afraid. He asked God to intervene, to remove the suffering. The Composer wakes up every morning alone, in self-isolation, with only Jesus to greet…𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘪 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘪 𝘠𝘦𝘴𝘶. Every morning he speaks to Jesus about a particular matter he wishes Jesus to help him with…𝘮𝘰𝘺𝘰 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢 𝘶𝘬𝘶𝘸𝘢𝘸𝘢, 𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘣𝘶𝘬𝘢 𝘯𝘥𝘪 𝘮𝘢𝘷𝘶𝘵𝘰, 𝘵𝘩𝘶𝘱𝘪 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢 𝘭𝘢𝘧𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘢, 𝘮𝘰𝘺𝘰 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢 𝘶𝘬𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘣𝘢, 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘺𝘪𝘮𝘢…in all that he asks Jesus to intervene. The Composer also takes this self-isolation period to meditate upon life in general…of poverty and wealth, both of which have a potential to separate us from God. He, therefore, also asks Jesus to guide him through. We all go through such tough moments in our lives…being sick, nursing a sick relative, losing a loved one or missing a very good opportunity due to a pandemic. It could be Covid indeed or something else altogether. This song is meant to help us remember to always go to the Lord and say…𝙉𝙜𝙖𝙩𝙞 𝙣𝙠𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙠𝙖, 𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙩𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙠𝙝𝙤 𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝙢𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙨𝙤𝙘𝙝𝙞.
