After finishing up our 6-state Midwest USA Tour, ‪@KatinaEatsKilos‬ and I flew across the pond to Dublin, Ireland so we could spend 40+ days exploring most of the major cities and areas around Ireland. During our travels, I attempted 16 Irish man vs food restaurant challenges. For eating challenge event #6, we headed to The Brick Oven located in Bantry, Ireland so Katina and I could each attempt and help kick off their new Wild Atlantic Way 3kg Irish Seafood Fish Boxty Challenge which was so delicious!! I had just 45 minutes to feast on 3lbs of Irish boxty potato pancakes layered with over 2lbs of freshly prepared smoked haddock filets, all smothered with a homemade white cream sauce. I was trying to become the first champion to win my €60 meal free plus a sweet t-shirt and spot on The Brick Oven's Wall of Fame!! Bantry, Ireland is located along the Wild Atlantic Way on Ireland's southwestern coastline. They now offer this 3kg Irish Boxty which has a 45 minute time limit to finish everything. You can order a 3kg Seafood Fish Boxty or a 3kg Beef & Guinness Boxty. Both are delicious!! My seafood fish boxty was made with 3lbs total of Irish boxty potato pancakes, 2lbs total of freshly prepared smoked haddock, and then a homemade white cream sauce that included parsley and diced tomatoes. It was topped with some dill and the total weight was 3kg or 6.6 pounds. The Beef & Guinness Boxty is also made with 3lbs of Irish boxty potato pancakes. Winners earn the €60 seafood boxty meal free plus a sweet t-shirt and spot on Wall of Fame.
