Grey Wagtails at Lathkill Dale | Peak District Birdwatching

I came to Lathkill Dale looking for Dippers… but what I found was even better. This Peak District birdwatching session delivered far more than expected. Join me on an early spring adventure at Lathkill Dale in the Peak District, one of the most scenic and rewarding locations for UK birdwatching and wildlife photography. This birding vlog follows my search for White-throated Dippers and Grey Wagtails along the crystal-clear river—but the day quickly turns into an incredible mixed-species encounter. Along the way, I capture a fantastic range of British birds including Common Buzzards soaring overhead, Common Ravens calling across the valley, a stunning Common Kestrel, and smaller woodland species like Wrens, Goldcrest, and Coal Tits. Lathkill Dale truly delivers as a hotspot for birdwatching in Derbyshire, offering a perfect mix of river, woodland, and open landscape species. This video features close wildlife encounters, species highlights, and my full camera setup using the Canon R7 and RF 100-500mm,. If you’re based in Derbyshire or visiting the Peak District, Lathkill Dale is a must-visit for birdwatchers, nature lovers, and wildlife photographers alike. If you’re based in Derbyshire, check out Derbyshire Bird Tours for guided trips (not sponsored, I truly believe they are incredible tours with an amazing host Stewart! as mentioned in a few of my videos) Website: https://www.derbyshirebirdtours.com YouTube: / @derbyshire_bird_tours Instagram: / derbyshirebirdtours 📷 My Gear: Camera: Canon EOS R7 Lens: Canon RF 100mm-500mm Microphone: DJI Mic Mini Cam: DJI Osmo Pocket 3 🔗 Follow Me: TikTok: @wild.lens.ry Instagram: @wildlens_ry YouTube: @wildlens_ry buymeacoffee.com/wildlensry #LathkillDale #PeakDistrictBirdwatching #DerbyshireBirdwatching #UKBirdwatching #DipperUK #GreyWagtail #CommonBuzzard #CommonKestrel #RavenUK #Goldcrest #CoalTit #WrenBird #PeakDistrictWildlife #UKWildlifePhotography #BirdwatchingUK #WildlifeVlogUK #NatureWalkPeakDistrict #RiverBirdwatching #BritishBirds #BirdingUK #WildlifeVideography #BirdwatchingVlog #NatureUK
