Catch Me If You Can - Uwe Steger & Heidi Steger
The opening Soundtrack to Steven Spielberg's comedy drama thriller Catch Me if You Can by John Williams. A floaty 1960s jazz-era score - played on two accordions. When I saw the opening credits of the 2002 film in the cinema I was immediately flabbergasted. In fact I didn't need the rest of the movie... Still ... The plot is based on a true story and is of course linked to the music. Mainly there are volatile tone shreds, interspersed with rests, short and wavy, which for me represent the flitting and caution in the run. Perfectly composed by John Williams. Very exciting, wonderfully old-fashioned (60s) and jazzy - hence black/white. Of course, the original is instrumented great and I hope the accordion duo version with my wife do not reduce the the whole thing. In between, there are moments of relaxation. If the cheater Abagnale feels himself in safety, lives the high life, mocks the investigators Hanratty or makes free-mile flight. These points are improvised and the video is in color. Three guesses who represents whom. I hope you like it and is not too weird or nerdy... Please watch this with high resolution and in full screen mode. Sometimes the we look pretty small...
