This came in at number 13! Here we are again. Like Gerudo Valley, I've done this one twice before now and this time I really wanted to capture the original better than I ever have. I really leaned into getting all of the parts right and included all of the elements, especially the ones I missed out on in previous covers like the subtle background ska chords. In previous covers, I've opted to take a more metal approach, but I really dialed the rhythm guitars back in distortion to try an only have them uplift the parts rather than be a focal point. Many of you already know I have been speedrunning this game on Twitch for years and it still remains my favorite to run. I hope those of you who've watched some of my streams will look back at the fun memories of getting sub 20 or sub 1hr, and for those of you that didn't know, I'm currently speedrunning Pokemon Red as of making this video, so feel free to stop by! This is obviously a very important song to me, having just last year getting a huge Mario 64 Princess Peach tattoo on my right arm because of it's significance to my life.
